Tried to go to the fair today, couldn't make myself get out of the car

I ABSOLUTELY HATE crowds, confusion, noise, so guess the fair wasn't the smartest idea

So when we got home worked a little on the fence for the girls when they are old enough for outside, and gave them a new kind of treat, one they had to look for bugs mixed in w/ dirt, took a few minutes to get the hang of it, but once they did the bugs were toast!!!!

doubleostud - your new signature line is funny!
Every breed of chicken, turkey, and duck I can get my hands on. Then to keep all of the poultry in check I have fainting goats. Turkey gobbles, goat bleets and faints, causing the turkey to gobble again, which in turn causes the goat to faint....vicious cycle, funny, but vicious.

P&B, yes normally when the goats get older they have figured out how to manage locking up without falling over, however I have a doe that if an ant farts in the next county she locks up and falls over. I think my toms do it just so they can get a laugh.

Good morning Okies...

I had a long day yesterday but entertaining. I have been babysitting my nephew, he is 1 1/2 years old. And yesterday my daughter needed me to watch the grandbaby, she is 6 months old. It has been a while since I have had 2 that age at one time. And I get to do it again today....LOL I think after this week I am a taking vacation.

I try to assure all these predators my birds dont taste like chicken Last night a bobcat decided to open a buffet on my farm. So this morning at 4:30 I geared up for the hunt after 3 hours of tracking and alot of patience I claimed my trophy around 8pm this morning will post more on this adventure in Predators and pests. Bobcat weighed aprox 23lbs managed to get a shot off on a coyote as well Hit him but not sure it was a fatal shot sadly He was over 100 yards away closer to 150 probably looked like I hit the shoulder area he ran off hopefully to bleed out and die. anyhow I dont mind one for one. One duck for one bobcat fair trade imo. you would think they would learn that makes 10 kills in one week. sigh tell em to just go away. because I dont ever miss what I aim at and they dont stand a chance

Morning everyone.Waiting on it to warm up so I can go outside and do some yard maintenance. The Taco bell dogs and I work better if its a little warmer!lol

MM congrats on the varmit reduction. You must have moved into an area that has had no hunting pressure in years! Where exactly is your town located(North-east-west-south)I sure hope my new place doesn't have a lot. Although there is a big patch of woods in the front and fields in the back with tyson chicken complexes within a 1/2 mile.

I live in Okarche Oklahoma 45 min west of OKC I have been here for 4 years and its the same ol song and dance. this mornings hunt yielded 1 bobcat 1 racoon. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4925848#p4925848 is the predator and pest link please do not view this thread if you do not want to see GRAPHIC PICS. its just kinda to show the size of the animals i have been competeting with.

MM, Wow that's a serious bobcat problem!!!! Or guess used to be sounds like your thinning it out nicely.

Today is our 19th wedding anniversary, can't believe it has been 19 years, doesn't feel like it. We are not planning anything special today, but when the trees start changing we are going for a few days to the Branson area, the butterflies and autumn leaves, maybe a show.
