hey guys- what kind of raptor has white wingtips? had a low flyby yesterday and hustled everyone in, that little cochin roo is a great alarm! while barny is busy, Captain is keeping an eye out..

Morning from sunny Tennessee. Got the wife off and am slowly trying to pull myself together to go get all the honey dos done today.

Keeping my flocks in today,after two cloudy rainy days I figured the hawks would be hungry today!

Oh love to have babies hatch, you have to share with us that aren't hatching right now so we need every detail!!! LOL.

Doodle mine are on lock down too, I will be getting NPIP tested tomorrow so I have be able to catch all the little buggers. I have one americana that I am going to have to be sneaky to get.

So my hatch is complete on my Cochins I got some really strange colors off this pair. I will post Pics of the hatch in a few. I lost one out of 10. not a cochin. one of my Barred cross's Poor guy was Killed trying to save one who got tangled up in his cord. I have officially decided to cover my window in my bator and anything that Might hatch or struggles Deals with its own fate until the final day then anything pipped or struggling will be culled. Its really hard not to save a despraite chick when the kids are watching but as I showed them last night the Price of saving one cost us 2. Hopefully they will get the picture.

Greetings all,

Guess I need to get in on this forum. Live in the Stillwater area. Nothing special here. Just eggs to eat....and hatch... and noisy roosters to volunteer for a noodle bath.

Currently have 3 barred rock hens, 3 brown leghorn hens, all covered by 1 brown leghorn rooster. Have a brooder with 19 mutt chicks that came from eggs that were given to me so I could play in the incubator.... so not sure what they are at the moment, but most came from some ameriaucanas hens covered by whoknowswhat roos. Also have 3 dozen BLh / Barred eggs moving ever so slowly into day 9 over in that box that the light keeps blinking on and off.

I think I would like to do some quail (jumbo coturnix ,browns or that T word... followed by those letters that mean morning). Think meaning.... you could talk me out of it... maybe... Please try if you think it would be detrimental to my quickly going over the hill brain... and wallet.

I think that would complete the initial question that usually get asked... so here goes... click

congrats on the great , fast growing addictions , you have found the perfect place to be , WITH US , we all can help you in any shape, form , or fashion , on acaquiring more birds to fit that tasty little appitite some call a incubating/chicken addiction... but myself im not addicted to chickens or hatching just ask anyone on this forum ... lol

No worries Donnie, I will make it down there sooner or later! I need to come check it out & get us some OKie fun going on down here in the eastern end of the state! I just have alot on my plate right now with everything going on. Come winter ya'll might get tired of me being there. LOL.
