Hi Al!!!! I want the Ravioli recipe, I have often thought of trying to make it homemade but have no recipie and do not know really how to do it, it looks like it should be pretty simple and I love Ravioli. Thanks, Lynn

I know really !!!! Roy looked fantastic ( Don't tell him that LOL ) I patted his what I expected to be his normal rotund mid section and it was gone nothing but shirt. I am proud of him for sticking to it, perhaps I shouldn't have eatin all that consession stand food in front of him.

Tamales get made this winter and I always make a 1 year supply, this time I am going to try a more traditional mexican version using big aged ole roosters, ( Attention Michael ) stewed for 12 hrs for tender intense flavor.

Our family joke is that my dad's favorite chicken recipes all began with "cook it on low heat for 24 hours" Maybe we shouldn't have laughed. Of course, he wanted to bake it at 150 degrees in the oven for that length of time.

Hey Al,
One of the high points of my year is judging the Tamale Cook-Off the Hispanic church has the weekend after Thanksgiving.

There are usually 12-14 batches to taste!

There are two advantages.....

First you get to sample each batch and second you get to sample each batch first!
Last year it was hard to judge..there were three that were some of the best I have ever eaten.

I bet you would win hands down though.

I had a very odd situation today that more then made up for what had to be the worst day of my life yesterday. I recieved a call from the head of the Kingfisher 4H leader which I have enrolled the kids into. Mari in clover buds and Airel in 4h. She calls me and ask me to come to her house and bring a few cages. When I arrived her husband walked me around his set up and exitedly explained every bird he had and there winning places from best of breed, to best of show, 1st place 2nd place, on and on. after he Finished his storys of these birds he then told me to open my cages and fill em up. After recovering from a heart attack. I said Sir? are you sure? He said I really like what you have done for the community. were getting old and I want you to have my best birds. Since I know they will be in good hands. Birds consisted of partrige white black bantam cochins. Red and white frizzles, Mille fluer D uncles, (or how ever you say it) Gold laced Serama's, Pyle OEBG, White Silkies, this very nice ol man even threw in a Show sheep for Angela.
I guess if you believe in God and Give him all your heartaches and burdons He will truly bless you. I cried and cried to everyone about my rooster situation. On the way home after a firm lashing from P&B i just let it go and gave it to God. and he truly blessed us with some very nice birds were so exited. I will Post pics later. gonna run to wal mart and fix this bator I bought so I can get it Fired up.
