Hey Everyone !

Lots been going on that I feel outta touch with you all,

Our neighbor issues we were having are pretty much left to just keeping to ones own... after having what we thought was good report with them and them with us, turned into the deputy being called out twice in one afternoon because our birds were in their yard... when that happened I was shocked they didnt come over and let me know and then I was left apologizing to the deputy that I was surprized and why if they have a problem have always said the birds were fine and would feed them scraps... then all of a sudden with no warning call on us and then have a surveyor come out and mark the property lines because they were gonna put up a fence(which didnt happen) ....

That was over a month ago... NOW they are trying to say they jumped the gun and that they were having a bad weekend personally and that our animals are not a problem ect ect... WHAT ! SERIOUSLY.!!! First you call on us twice with in a few hour time, Second you say things about my momma to whom you never met befor in your life and third you start nasty rumors about my son and I am supposed to just be your best friend now... I am sorry but after that fiasco, I still stand by what I said to the ol mrs... that neighborly trust is broken and for that it is just best we tend to ourselves... I will remain respectful and cordial, and helpful when its needed as the Lord would want me to, but you will not be finding me going outta my way to be buddy buddy.

Sorry this is a rant but it is what lead into why our turkeys have been over at Doc and Peaches place since that drama happened and how now Jason and I are planning on bringing them home very soon... because they are our babies and responsibility and because we dont want them to be a burden on anyone for to long of time, we plan on getting them picked up and brought back to our place early December, even if we gotta top off the Chicken run for them to be in during the day we will.

I have been personally very very busy so much so that its hard to find time to sit down and just say hello any more.... a few weeks ago we were placed with 2 .... two year olds and they are just as every bit of the nursery rhyme that describes them.... Frogs and snails And puppy-dogs' tails, Ok so they arent exactly made of those things but BOY do they keep me running .

Our chickens seem to be fairing well with these cooler and some what blustry fall days and I am counting down to when we will be having freezer treats with the meat chicks... although they really surpass all the stuff I heard about them.... for one mine are not quite as FAT, PLUMP and LAZZY as they seem to be described in the forums... mine are very active and run around like crazy bug eaters... they do swarm me when its feeding time but they really dont sit around being lazy... which I guess is a good thing...

How are you all doing?

STIMP good to see you back on the boards again now we need some of your good ol stimp stories

JEANNIE

JER MAN Good to see you say hey on here, btw did you ever take the training wheels off your bike?

I agree, right now we are tight with money and trying to just do what minimum we can to help keep the house afloat... limited time, resources and man power....

I should say at least for that side of our property and theirs... we have been focusing on the back pasture where we wanna keep the animals housed...... I think we are just gonna butcher all the turkeys as they come ready and just do away with that for a while and stick to the chickens and few livestock we can keep penned up (like the horses)... We see ourselves moving east way OK in a few years any ways to something bigger and hopefully better unless the ARMY says home will be somewhere else before Jason is to retire from his 20 in a lil over 6 years.

Use pallets wired together like a friend of mine uses for corrals for his Longhorns. Sets them on an angle so they stand by themselves and use baling wire to hold everything together. Cork's cattle range on the river SE of Okarche and some have never seen a human before they are rounded up and sold so they are wild as a march hare and will go through normal corrals and fencing like it is not even there. But the pallets are free and easy to replace when , not if, the cattle tear them out.

I wonder how suprised my neighbor is going to be when I send him a bill for rebuilding our back fence? We have stallions and he has mares so I need to raise the heigth and put in smooth wire along with good hot wire to keep them apart.

I wish I had your skill & time to do quilts!!! Very pretty!

It is all machine sewn/quilted. And I've been working on them for a couple of years now!!!!!!!!!! And that is with a "quick" technique of sewing/piecing/quilting all at the same time then joining the completed blocks into the quilt.

Kassaundra I have worked on one for 10 years at least, I still don't have it completed & no where close to putting a back on it. I don't have anywhere to set up my machine so I don't even sew anymore other than to make small repairs & even at that I will take it to my grandma's where she has a room with three machines set up all the time. I hope with the new house I will have room to have it set up somewhere.
