I looked at her backside real well after I got her clean, didn't see any sign of critters at all. Or does Dawn do the same thing for mites it does for fleas? Then I ran around like a mad woman wee looking at everybody's butt, glad I don't live close to anyone and that they all work during the daytime...

dawn will kill parasites for a bit, i found one of the best ways to get mite eggs off is smear skin-so-soft on them and they peel right off!

yep i do butt checks and all the routine things, the new coop should be better in that the coop is a metal shed, so all i need to do is make sure i soak down the roosts to keep the mites away... i hope!...

course we live on ten acres shared with the inlaws and no one around here notices anything, unless its dogs going after cattle​

i think i wouldn't get any sleep at nite knowing they were up there! its bad enough with the guineas in the trees! silly cochins.... they really at times can be quite dense... our 2 partridge pullets - rusty and cocoa - walk around calling each other if they lose site of their buddy- they should have been named moaning myrtle!

The pen has a sun screen type tarp roof but it doesn't stop the rain. Silly girls, I guess they are ok in most weather. I put them in the coop at dusk if it gets cold or rainy but it sure would be nice if they could figure it out themselves.

Joe - I checked my calendar once I got home, and it looks like December 11th is the Saturday I'm headed to Shawnee. I need to meet up with BetsyOK and Greybear23 if they are both there.

Donnie - If you're going to Shawnee on the 11th, I can bring the White Orp to you there. Will that work?

Morning Okie's, hope there will be some chatter today like yesterday, I have to run my son to the doc but then will be putting in a long day at the office. My ceilings will be painted today~ I am ready to paint wall's when I get home.
