I don't know how cold it is outside tonight, I have stayed in & been lazy. Glad she made it alright!!

Monty you are funny, I don't need anymore chickens.............yet. Once I get settled I will be back in bussiness. I know next winter I will have a much better set up than I do now. Someone please remind me to get ready earlier.

Joe I haven't sent the eggs yet,I keep forgetting to get bubble wrap. I will mail them monday. Don't worry I'll send only the freshest.Haven't heard back from niece on her birds yet, will let you know when I do. She has a lot going on right now.

I think that some buyers who have watched me buy NN hens at the Fletcher auction either have the same ceiling on what they are willing to pay or they know how much I will pay.

Bought two NN hens at Harrah this evening. One has speckles in her light red feathers and is very pretty. The other is just a light red hen.

Also bought some more cages this evening. I think that I am about done buying cages for a while. We took the truck and had to leave the tailgate down and tie the last cage on.

I had only taken one pet carrier and it came home in the back seat with my two NN hens and I had to carry the rabbit home on my lap without any cage, since the ones I bought were too large for the cab of the truck with Jaxon in the back seat. Sure glad that Dean is a good sport about my poultry addiction.

There were probably about 30 people there. RIR laying hens sold for $11-13. Some fantail pigeons didn't get a bid at $2.50 so were PO'd. They had an assortment of new poultry books authored by Stromberg - choice started at $4 and sold for $5.50 (Incubation tips, Sexing poultry, Raising Guineas, Raising Peafowl, Raising Ducks and Geese) The only one I didn't already have was the one about ducks and geese, so I got that one.

Egg cartons sold for less than 10 cents each.
