Barns. The free ranging may have a lot to do with it! Chickens are like any other animal,if you want to fatten them you confine to a small space and feed the heck out of them. Free ranging is good for replacement birds because they muscle up and gain brains instead of fat.
Well about half the pretty snow melted today!did I say it was a wet snow! Oh my mud bog gin time! Lol

lynn I thought I had hit the jackpot this morning! Someone had posted "22free sheep"! I was thinking a mile a minute,where am I going to put them,what kind will they be,how will I haul them,etc. So I called and the guy answered,one step closer,getting excited! And then he said he didn't own sheep some one was playing a joke on him! And they got me too!lol
