So sorry to hear that. We're having similar problems at our house. I just got off the phone with Gerald and he said our pen with 1 month old chicks has caualties from the heavy rain. Apparently they didn't go in the dog house as expected. He said he's going out there next to put a heat lamp in the dog house and put all those that are still allive inside the dog house where they can dry off and get warm. I feel bad ... they weren't smart enough to seek shelter from the storm. He said the pen with the chicks that are a week or two older seem to be fine.

Thanks Bricker and Buckguy for the auction info. Now that I know that the Inola Auction is the Chupps Auction ... yes I've heard of it but never been. I guess I should go there for the experience.

Yea same here, my sweet dear hubby stayed home from work today to help me with them, we have 3 now in the house because they are just not smart enough to stay in the pen with the heat lamp on. Most are its just a few. So when all this is over I will see what I have left and go from there, I can find my frizzles, but they could be in with the lamp and I just cant see them.

We almost got the new coop built, just ran out of metal and wire. Hope to have it done this week. They wont get wet in there.

Sorry to hear about people losing chickens. I lost one sex link hen. I guess she just wasn't educated enough to get ion out of the rain. I guess I will have to put on my Foghorn Leghorn suit and start a class.

Poor chickies! I can't believe the rain is taking them now, just a few days ago it was the heat! I wish we'd get the rain everyone else is! We did get a pretty decent rain this morning, all the flowers in the bed are laying flat.

Carla, you should call the Blanchard vet. I take all my babies there, the pricing is fairly decent. When I took my two kittens to be neutered, they stayed two nights, and my total bill was still only $90. It cost $35 for the Bun Bun. Of course spaying costs more, but its still a better deal than anyone in my town. And of course they do a good job, and are very sweet with the animals.

They could probably sex all your bunnies for you too. Oh, and just tell Gerald that they're all females or something... *ha* Just kidding

Oh, could you get a picture? I just can't imagine 9 bunnies! *haha*

I'm thrilled that ya'll have bunnies to talk about, I don't feel so left out now.

I know what you mean about money to burn... Hubby took me to an AQHA thing in OKC last year, just to look. We felt so out of place. *ha*

Buckguy, let us know when your classes start, I'd love to be there to take incriminating photos. I mean... Instructional videos. Ya.

I been going over the Okie list. If I have missed anyone please let me know and I will add you to the list. I don't want to offend anyone by leaving them off our list.

HA! Cammie, I am sure you would post them for all to see.

Well I gotta go, class starts in five minutes and I don't have my chicken feet on yet!

I now have about 7 chicks in the house. with the heater on them to dry them off. AND MORE rain coming. Most of my birds stayed in the coop under the light. But some are just ignorant. I didnt lose any at all to the heat.

Well we have bunnies sure thought I would have a week or 2 when I bought her. Guess that is what I get for thinking. We have 3 at least so far Mom is BLack ( where her fur iss longer it is dark brown) Lop. @ are very active but one I think didn't make it

. I knew this morning it would be soon but dang. I have also read that she should have between 6-12 so we are still waiting. She got really lovey this AM and kept pushing her head into my hand for me to pet her, however she also has a bit of a temper, didn't seem to be drinking well out of bottle so I was giving her a small dish or water guess I didn't put it in the right spot and she grabbed ahold of it and shuck it like a dog and threw water all over my pants leg then hopped on over for a petting. However after 5 kids I can understand nothing is right for a woman in labor.
