I don't know if painted Austiran hens and Swedish Flower hens are the same but if they are and you have them then it is a miracle. I am part of a group that has been trying to import them to the U.S. for the last two years with no luck. Barry at Feathersite told me there are no known birds of this type in the U.S.
You might make sure of just what you are getting.
I doubt these are true Austrian or Swedish chickens, but I have beeen wrong before.

Sometimes chickens "fly" in under the radar. It's a shame the import laws are so strict for those that legitimatly try to import birds. There are some true bantam NNs that came from Germany long ago that I would like to find.

OK My apologies to Luvz. My tired old eyes can't see too well, especially without my glasses. I see now these are Asturiana hens which are from Spain. The Austrian or Swedish Painted Flower hens I referred to are not the same. I apologize for misreading and then spouting off like I knew what I was talking about.
Does anyone have a number for Superior Farms?
I would like to know what they have in adult birds.

Are you folks ready for the Monsoon of people and water courtesy of Gustav? Hope everyone takes care out there. I know it's Oklahoma and the weather can change quickly, but so far the weather guys are predicting 6-20 inches of rain in Eastern Oklahoma, and 2-6 in Central Oklahoma.

Well Tuesday when I get back to work I think I am going to put all of the mowers and welders and stuff on higher ground, y'all know how Kingfisher is! This time I am not wading water at the last minute.

I wade water when we get only an inch , as I live at the bottom of a hill with poor drainage. The water comes into my barn like a river, when we build the house last year we used a post and pier foundation, a slab just wouldn't get it here. so unless we get 2 ft or better we will be dry. the hens and chicks are on high ground

I know what you mean about Kingfisher I was renting a place there in 2000 or 2001 and had to evac. All I did was go back to pack the trailer and move.

Monty - No problem I think the # is 3541401 if you know anyone that gets the poultry press I think it is in there and I may have misunderstood Danny when I asked what they were.

I may be going back today ,didn't make it yesterday I will get a list of all for sell if I can. And will post here.

Been tryin to talk my hubby into letting me have a couple hens. No luck yet. *sigh* But since I can't have my own, I love looking at everybody else's. *ha*

I can't remember if anyone made it to the last Cement auction. I was talking to my grandmother tonight (who's lived in Cement forever), and she told me that the man who gets the poulty auction together collpased at the last auction. She said an ambulance had to come, and that he had to have a surgery. BUT... A week or two later he was working the county fair. Sounds like he's doing well, but it's always good to keep someone in your thoughts.

Good luck with the rain everyone! We got quite a bit this last time. But we are the black hole of storms in Chickasha, so there's no telling. *ha*
