Anyone know the laws of transporting chickens across state lines. I know that to transport from texas they have to have a test done. Where we are wanting to go is into Missouri the 1st weekend in October. One lady will be coming from texas so will go thru 3 state lines.

Do ya'll remember the disappointing "Open House" at Superior Farms in Yukon last Spring? According to an ad in September's Poultry Press, Danny Padgett has moved to Oklahoma to take over as the Poultry farm manager. They plan to have day old chicks beginning January 1 and indicate they have adults for sale now. It is good to see that their flocks have new management.

poultryandbees, I did not get to read that article, but I've heard rumors that things weren't run well at Yukon. Glad there's someone new in charge now.

Scooters, I have to ask... Is it pronounce 'Miam-ee' or 'Miam-uh' ???

Lew hired Doug as there had been some trouble with the OKlahoma Humane Soc. got this from someone else, but I have seen a lot of recent changes just looking at the place. I may stop by there today as I have a little time this morning.

Yes, I remember those sad accounts and stories I heard about it. Good to hear that it is in new hands. Danny Padgett seams to be well recognized in the poultry world, too

Luvzmybabz, did you get those from Superior? Here is what FeatherSite says - http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Pinta/BRKPinta.html

I have not gotten them yet but I am planning on going by again tomorrow or Monday. Wondering how rare they are as I have never heard of them the While I was in the chick room I counted at least 4 dead birds.

I got 3 Buttercups 2 roos and 1 pullet I think. want to get another pullet to have 2 pair
2 EEs Pullets I believe
1 Domique Pullet I believe
1 Black Cochin (hoping its a cockerel to put over my blue hens)

Will be posting pictures soon on the breed gender page.

I don't know about the adults did not get to walk thgough but the chick room was crammed all of the chicks I got have feather loss some a little some a lot. Usually I might fudge a few days on Quartine but not on these just in case. I do know that they had adult laying leghorns and Austrolops (SP?)

Cammie- I thought you lived in town now.

Oh please lets not get started on the Miami debate. It's as bad as the Durant debate. I know though it's Doo-rant.

There is NO debate. It is Miam-uh OKlahoma and Miam-ee Florida

You can tell real quick if you are from this neck of the would if you pronounce it correctly.

Welcome Sticks
