It wasn't me! The man we were sitting next to, Sam, bought them.
The only bird we bought at the Cement auction was a naked neck rooster that Gerald wanted. It wasn't even that great of a rooster (we need to aquire a few shows quality ones) but Gerald loves the naked necks and we only had one rooster with 15 hens ... I must admit, they aren't exactly my favorites, but I guess I can tolerate them.
Oh, and if anyone here is interested, I have a single black orpington that's a couple of months old, which I hatched from blue & black orpington eggs that I aquired from corancher, a BYC member in Colorado. I had several blues and blacks hatch, but all the others were casualties of the severe storms we had a few weeks ago. I had just put them out in an outdoor pen with a large dog house shelter, and unfortunately they didn't go inside their shelter during the storm ... I lost 30 chicks of several breeds in that pen from the storm, (all huddled on top of each other in a corner of the pen). The survivors are doing great now though.
I also have one bantam black cochin chick, 3 months old, from an egg I hatched from eggs I aquired from a swap on another chicken forum. The lady that sent me the eggs (from Redding California) said that all her cochins are from show quality lines. Anyway, only this one hatched. I still don't know the sex of it, but it's comb is still small, so I suspect it is a pullet.
I'll probably take the black bantam cochin and the black orpington to the Blanchard auction next week, unless someone here is interested in buying or trading for them ??? Oh, and I have some cuckoo marans roosters hatched from eggs I purchased from Ray Valentine in Florida that are also available. They are about 6 months old now. And, I have some white guineas, less than 2 months old available.
I forgot to mention, we aquired some lion head, lop and jersey woolly bunnies from the Chupps auction, which was an impulse buy .... I guess I should take several to the Blanchard auction.

I would be REALLY interested in the little guy/gal!! Is Tuttle ANYWHERE near Tulsa or Jenks???
I will be in Jenks on Saturday Sept. 13th for a Leukemia/Lymphoma Walk and we will be at Tulsa Sept. 27th for the State Fair. My mom is in Owasso and my aunt is in Bixby...........close anything close??????
Oh I want that chickie!!
I don't know if i have anything you would be intrested in trading for but I am will to try
luvzmybabz, I'm sorry, the lops are all regular looking, and I haven't checked the sex yet. It looks like 2 are holland lop, and the others I have will be larger. Oh, and something got into the rabbit hutch ... tore up the metal mesh and the wood and several rabbits are now missing and presumed dead. I have chickens in similar pens and never had anything try to get them ... but my poor bunnies
Anyway, most will be sold at the Blanchard auction this coming Saturday. I moved them all to a much stronger rabbit hutch until then. I may try to keep a pair or trio if I can manage to check the sex of them!
luvs2garden2000, Yes, I'd like to see what your tophats turned out like. We could probably do a trade with the guineas if you're interested.
Slightly Cracked, sorry, Tuttle is SW of OKC. We might try going to the Chupps in Inola the first Saturday in October, or possibly the Oklahoma Chickenstock in Poteau, but other than that we have no plans to travel that direction. So sorry!
Carla-I guess something is in the air I went out to check my 2 bucks and they are both gone they were housed together as they liked each other. I did not see any fur around so they may have gotten out on their own there was a repair on the wire. I breed the other to my doe yesterday so I hope it took. Guess I will be looking for a buck as well as some does at blanchard. I will have fort Know of rabbit hutches finished by then. They were in an older hutch that they came with.
and I sexed the kits and I think they are both boys.
