Oh WHEW! I can't believe the Stillwater schools were open today. Everyone kept telling me the county roads were bad as far as snow plowing and being able to drive after a snow storm, so I thought once we made it into town we'd be in the clear. HAH! There were 3 cars stuck on the road into the school, you could tell there hadn't been a plow anywhere near it. I managed to tiptoe in and out of there, no problems, but made up my mind that if they do that again when everyone for miles around is still off school, the kid can stay home. Then went and picked her up at 3, not a problem but that road was still a mess so I broke down and took the truck to
Walmart to get new 'feet'. OUCH!!! Not that I didn't need them but MAN I hate having to buy new tires for the truck, that's always painful. To top everything off, the hydraulic lift got stuck with the truck up in the air and it took forever to get it to go down. JEEEEZ!
Glad I went for the tires though, I took the kid to the tanning salon and those roads and driveways were WORSE than the school. I'd have gotten stuck on the old Maypops for sure, so very happy with the new tires. Now just putting the finishing touches on supper and we'll be calling it.
Silly chickens! When I pulled into the truck barn, I discovered 9 hens had decided to bed down with the barn kitties. I'm sure their feathers and fluff felt good to the cats, but seeing them all snuggled in a pile was quite a surprise. I took the hens out to their coop, I'm thinking they like the 'limo ride' zipped up inside my jacket every night. They don't do this in the summer. LOL!
