Gotta take care of the wild birds in this weather. With out us, so many would die. After the huge snowfall we had, there is nothing out there for them to eat. I've been feeding them and there are more showing up every day. I don't remember seeing so many different kind of birds in one place at one time. To look out the window and see all the colors in the white snow is worth every penny I spend to feed them. So many sizes and colors, from tiny little silver/blue ones on up to a pair of wild mallards, and a lot in between.

My father lives in the woods in Clayton and he gets a bigger variety then I do here in town. My car is parked near the bird feeding station so I sometimes put the long lens in the camera and a couple of towels covering the car window and stalk the birds like a lone paperatzi while they eat or bathe.

I thought I was supposed to get some today but it turns out she didn't have what I needed. If anyone knows of a hatcher close to Tulsa or surrounding please let me know i'm soooo excited to get started. I'm looking for Orphingtons(?) or barred rock.I look forward to chatting with all the other Okies!!
