I think you make a good point. We have a lot of 72 degree weather from January to October - it just doesn't last very long at one time.

I see where BYC broke another record for 2011 this evening at 8:42, with 1510 members on line at one time. And I wasn't on line then and missed it!

AL, what is the average age of the hen laying the largest eggs? My hens tend to lay larger eggs as they get older - but not every day.

This is her from the top, her shoulders are broad and deep and that helps breast development and opens the cavity for better health.

Alot of my rock hens laid double yolkers. The trouble was, I never could figure out which ones were doing it.

Keith your right, Rocks are notorious for doing that and these birds have lot's of rock in them amoungst other things.
