Texas Chickenstock will be Memorial week-end, May 24. Hoping a lot of Texans will be able to make it to both. Would love to see y'all down here on May 24th too.

well folks things are looking good and shaping up to what sounds like a great chickenstock I have got with the 4-H clubs and the kids are going to run the consession stand and also have booths and projects going on and I have decided to let some of the senior 4-Hers judge the chickendance contest. Now I am still needing lists of people who want to enter the Main Show and the costume and ugly chickens contest. I will be making up flyers this weekend to hand out for everyone to post up around their town so I need ya'll to pm me with addresses for anyone wanting some. I have decide to rasie the vender booth fee to $15.00 to help cover any costs and then all the proceeds will go the the local 4-H and FFA and Agri, clubs in the areas. I so far have OK Foods as a sponser. And will be getting with some area feed mills also. Note that any vender willing to make a donation towards the 4-H or other will get a discount on the booth rentals. with that said keep my posted on progress on ya'lls end and for further info pm me and I will give you a number to call.

Just a quick question, is the real poultry show going to have prizes? Trying to look at it from a "professional's" view (which I am not!

) most shows are $2-$3 to enter with trophies and cash prizes for the top birds. I know that we couldn't do anything extreme..... but, anyway, I just thought I'd throw that in

well I was thinking maybe a trophey and small moneys prize for first, ribbions and small moneys prizes for 2 and 3 places as well and for the costume contest and ugly chicken contest and the dance contest small tropheys and/or ribbions. How does that sound?
