Do you know where I can see pictures of Dominique Leghorns, Dominique Spanish, and Dominique Italians? Other than Games, I've never heard anyone refer to another breed or variety as "dominique". They're either described as cuckoo, or barred, as in Barred Leghorn or if they're referring to a color other than traditional black/white, like Lemon barred, Orange barred. I know Crele is a barred, multi colored colored variety, but I don't remember hearing anyone refer to them as being "Crele Dominiques". Is it common among game breeders?

Awww shucks, twern't nothin'. I'm pretty familiar with my copy. It's been my Dominique "bible" since I got it from Mr. Fields. Somewhere, I have one of the original dust jackets that misspelled "American"; he'd just got them from the publisher when I met him at a show and he gave me my first trio. He was just going to throw them all away and I said I needed to have one for posterity; since I take dust jackets off the books for safekeeping, now I don't know where either one is.

Kiwis ? I was recently given a jan 1930 American Poultry Journal , in classifieds is an add for Kiwis. it reads . Kiwis . Baby Chicks Kiwis the featherless egg machines. Grow fur instead of feathers.High record layers Quality exhibition and foundation stock matings. Catalog free. stamps appreciated. Nabob Poultry Farms Ave K Gambier Ohio. This farm offered a number of other breeds as well. Has anyone ever heard of such a chicken? Silkie crosses ????

Kiwis are a flightless bird native to New Zealand, not a chicken. Someone must have been trying to import them for eggs.

There use to be a breed of chicken called "Kiwis"...they were silkie feathered and resembled the New Zealand Kiwi bird.....the only connection between the two was the texture of their feathers...NOTHING else!!!!
