Ideal. I had a Beautiful blue and gold laced from there last year. my very first chicken attempt. But sadly they flew into the trees one night and owls got them. So now I'm trying again.

I got my hatchery gold duckwing this morning. Is it true you can sex them by color?

They are brooding with my Silkie Serama mixes...

I wish I had the time and space to raise something other than 300 EPY chickens. I'm in it for the eggs and some meat. We have children and grandchildren and everyone eats eggs. It would be nice to raise some exoctic and rare chickens for once.

8 weeks? Definite male with a comb that prominent. Not sure what color variety it might be

Looks like a splash... in OEGB they call them Blue Sports...
