We are new to raising chickens. We have an Old English Game Hen. She laid one egg yesterday and my girls picked it up by mistake. When will she likely lay again? This is the first egg that she has laid since we got her about 3 weeks ago.

Your game hen probably took a break from laying while she was adjusting to her new surroundings. Now that she is laying again she may start producing an egg every other day as long as she isn't more than a couple years old. It may be less consistent if she is older.

We were wanting to try and get baby chicks from her. Is that possible?

Some of the game hens I have go broody pretty often and will sit in the nest for days on end even when I do collect the eggs. I guess you will have to wait and see if she is the broody type and find out if the rooster likes her.

If you have a rooster then you can hatch her eggs when she starts laying again. If you don't though and were hoping to hatch eggs from her I'm sorry to tell you that after 3 weeks it is highly unlikely that she will be laying fertile eggs anymore.
