Old fashioned Broody Thread for Ducks

my 1st broody duck. A new to us this year Fawn and white Indian Runner named Penelope. She started sitting on or around April 25th. Not sure which day to count as day 1. But it is around there. Patrick and Penelope were both born from broody's last year.

here are her and her Drake Patrick the day we got them.

Great thread idea! I was looking for something like this when my duck was broody, and there was no centralized place to look. She did hatch out three ducklings, but she tried attacking the first to arrive so I took that one and the other two as soon as they hatched. Anyone have a guess as to what color they will be? Mom is either cayuga or blue runner, dad is either rouen or pekin.

Duchess is broody! No pics yet, she's a Saxony duck and this is her first attempt. She has 5 eggs I need to go mark so I can remove her sisters new ones. She's plucked some fluff into the nest, let's me know she's serious. Plus when I let them out for cleaning, she grabbed some food, took a bath, and went back to the nest. She's been thinking about being broody for about a week.

My Wheaten Marans hen is acting like she'll join on the other side of the coop.

ETA: The rest of the info... ducklings will be sold, there's been a good demand for them this year in this area.

They are so pretty, I just love the sweet face..

My pastel Call hen Sassy is setting now. All my Call hens have been great setters.
