Olive egger or barred rock?

I suppose it's possible she could be an olive egger... but she really does look like a barred Rock. I wouldn't get my hopes up too terribly high for olive colored eggs from her. :hmm
She's very pretty girl though. :)

Luckily I got 2 “olive eggers” from this breeder so let’s hope at least one of them is a green layer. It just may not be her haha

If the breeder bred a barred rock cockrell with a blue egger hen you could possibly get an olive egger with barred markings (& even yellow legs). I guess you will have to cross your fingers & wait for an egg. Good luck & keep us updated.

Hard to say Cuckoo Maran, Barred Rock, maybe an Olive Egger. You will know for sure when she starts laying. I bought some chicks a few years back that I was told were Brown Leghorns. They turned out to be Partridge Rocks. As chicks they looked very similar. I always suspected they weren't Brown Leghorns and it was confirmed when I got my first brown egg. Good luck and have fun...

You may get a surprise though I have an olive acre that I can't even tell you what she looks like she is the oddest looking bird I've ever seen. She doesn't have the big cheeks and she has yellow legs and has The oddest color pattern on her. I figured I just get another brown egg it out of her but to my surprise she lays a green egg. It's the oddest color olive I've ever seen different from the other olive Egger but really cool looking. So she may surprise you!

How cool! I hope I get a surprise like that! Thanks for sharing!

Wow so many genetic possibilities! So I guess it could be possible! Now I can’t wait for her first egg!! Haha this is going to be a surprise either way! Makes that first egg even more exciting because it’s a mystery! Haha

I'll have to post a picture of her because she is just so odd looking. Everyone who sees her comments on that but really pretty at the same time. Considering the other olive acre I got with her at the same time has great legs she's all black with big puffy cheeks. She is also beautiful. I keep my fingers crossed for a surprise. I have read a couple places again I don't know if it's true because I don't breed them but that as far as an olive Egger there's an 80% chance of getting an olive egg. Thankfully you got to so you. Have a good chance of getting at least one Olive egg and hopefully two

“Good luck and have fun” I love that haha! Thank you and I most certainly will. Though I’m so impatient for those first eggs I am totally having a lot of fun! Even more so because now she is my mystery hen! So we shall see!

I would love to see a picture of her! I guess you never know what your going to get when you mix breeds! How cool though!

Hi! Just found your post searching for the same thing!!! I was just wondering what yours turned out to be? (I paid extra for mine, too, but now it’s turned out to be a roo, so no green eggs no matter what. 🙄 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️)
