Well, I am far from an expert but she certainly looks like a Barred Rock to me! I know that you were hoping to have an olive egger...but this isn't one. She looks like all of my young Barred Rocks looked when I had some!

I’m hoping she just took on the feather pattern. But I’m not fluent in chicken genetics and this is also my first flock. I guess time will tell but I’m really hoping for green!Most likely barred rock but I wouldn’t give up hope yet, a lot of olive eggers have rock in the mix.
Barred rock in my opinion. What type of Maran did you get? I have a friend who's cuckoo Maran looks just like a barred rock when she was young She doesn't look like an olive Egger but I've had to olive acres before that looked nothing like what I expected but laid the coolest olive eggs. I've always heard with all of Eggers you're really chancing it because of how their bred. I don't really know but that's what I've heard

If she does end up being a barred rock at least you've got a beautiful bird with generally a great temperament. My barred rocks are some of my favorites! And I know a lot of people who feel the same way I like them because they're laid-back, personable but also don't take no crap from the others. At least that's how mine are
