Haha I love it! Sounds like me with my husband! I started my flock with 11 mixed breeds and two weeks after we got them I told my husband I wanted to get Serama chicks. It took everything short of a PowerPoint presentation to get him to give the okay. Now they are his favorite chickens and he wants "his own flock of little chickens with their own coop" haha!

We mostly have ducks (22) and to be honest chickens where never part of the plan. Then I met my first Serama, Rocky. I was blown away when I was told he was full grown, then I saw how social he was. Within the week I had my first 3 Seramas. Easily one of my favorite birds. Of course that started a massive chicken addiction too.
That's one of the reasons I love BYC though, plenty of people to help with not just info, but enabling too!

Thanks! Really, my boyfriend and I want to incubate our turkey's and duck's eggs, but they aren't laying yet, along with most of our chickens. I read that turkeys don't lay nearly as much, so we'll get some good practice before setting those.
