omg, help me. My silkie has hoarded the ducks eggs

well i looked them over and over wondering why they DIED, they had pasty butts. So i figured they died because of that. i had no idea i had to check their butts.
i feel like its my fault, i should have taken them away. but everyone said leave them.

theres always the ones in the incubator, i hope they make it.

well like i said before i NEVER knew i had to do that. They are the 1st baby chicks that ever hatched. And before that ive never had any!

the two little ones still havent hatched. one has a small crack in it, im thinking it peeped? i didnt notice it before. i have no idea. im so sad over the whole thing. stupid broodzilla.

on a brighter note, i have 6 duck eggs in the bator, and saw a little tiny embryo growing. yippee. i just pray i can hatch em right. i have no fan and no auto turner. i do spritz em once a day.. and turn them odd numbers a day. they are due the week of march 23rd....

I just saw this thread, LOVE that picture; the mama has that "look" on her face, just love it. I get sooooo upset with people who think animals have no emotions, or ties to their babies . . .this picture shows that to be a big falsehood!!!
