omg. Help please. I per accidently dropped my thermometer on one of my eggs. it has a huge dent and

Just now, I wanted to meet the temperature so the thermometer per accidently fell hard on my chicken egg. There is a huge dent on it and a few more haired cracks. I immediately put some nail polish on, it was see through nail polish because I was too shocked so I just grabbed any nail polish. I candled it afterward and saw that the embryo is still moving. I'm still in shock. Will my chick be alright? I'm at day 9 and there is no leakage

You are not alone. Some time or other this has happened to just about everyone who has incubated eggs. Next time that it happens try something like wax to coat the cracks. Eggs closer to term generally handle such incidents well. Your egg has another 12 days to go. If no bacteria have gained access, you may still be OK. Just keep an eye on this egg, and if it starts weeping remove it so that it does not cause problems. Good luck.
