OMG! Help!!

Thank you. I am trying but just don't know what else to do. We shall see.
So my little chickie is doing much better. It is standing and walking now. Its right foot is still not standing right, but I am going to continue to put a little boot on it to see if it will straighten out.

My chickie is doing well! It is walking pretty well and both feet are flat like they should be. I have moved it in with the 2 day olds and they are getting along well. So relieved that it has recovered and will be one of the flock. Hope it is a girl.

I'm glad all went well.
Good work on the rehab. I know how time consuming it can be to save a single invalid.
I caution against using it for breeding. The problem could have been genetic in which case, you don't want to perpetuate that.

For cracked eggs, I've tried beeswax and nail polish. Neither worked. Then I switched to liquid skin bandage and it worked great. It has antiseptic properties.

That is what I was thinking on the New Skin. But the crack on this egg was just too big is what I think the problem was. I think that the problem was with my incubator. It lays the eggs on their sides and turns them automatically and the egg had been pushed up and was not pointing correctly. Then it pipped on the wrong end. I had to intervene and it tried to exit the egg shell and got stuck with its leg out straight. That was my fault, I think. The poor thing had a cascade of things happen to it. But it is a fighter and doing well. I don't have any way of determining which chickens lay what eggs. Thank you for the advice though and if possible, I will not set its eggs. That is if it turns out to be a Hen. We shall see!
