We have a cemetary on our property - pretty much in our side yard. It is the family cemetary of the Morris family - the people who used to own this plantation which dates back to a 1790 land grant. Descendants of the Morris family still come and tend to the graves and put fresh flowers. It is a quiet and peaceful place and I think it adds character to this old homesite.
These are the graves of Mr. Morris and his wife. Mr. Morris inherited the land from his father and built this house in 1908 for his new wife. Several of their grown children and three newborn babies are buried here.
I've posted our "ghost stories" on a thread long ago. But after hearing all the stories from the locals, including maids who were too scared to come back, and after experiencing a few "odd disturbances" ourselves, I set up a hidden camera one night and this is what it captured.
