My nephew suggested that after a possum was caught eating my chickens, that I should have cut up the opossum and fed it back to the rest of the flock. YECH. Not at feeding them the opossum but at cutting it up. Yes, Chickens eat mice. I had a mouse who invaded one of my broody chicks nest, I thought she was killing her Chicks, it was the mouse mother. I fed her babies to the flock after I dug them out from under her.

Over the course of the afternoon here I must have snagged about 10 horseflies just like these big nasty bone pickers here. I ripped one wing off and dropped them inside of the coop. None of them lasted long enough to even bother with kissing the ground. One of them I was going to give it to one of the girls and she went after the wrong finger.

I was glad I was wearing gloves today.

My broody hen in the spring i had a problem with mice and the i mad a mouse trap but the more i killed it seemed they just kept coming welll i had one on the run made the wrong turn and bang the knocke the ting out and it got back up i was 'egging' my chicken on come on smash it smash it
