The hole at the back of the tongue is the trachea - Nothing should ever go in there!

Thanks for posting this pic as we've got to dose our girls this evening with a syringe and this really helps. I went to the website and tried to enlarge the picture of the syringe in the birds mouth but it won't display quite as large. Gives me a good aiming point, though.
