That's a weasel, and my cat killed one and brought it home for a trophy a few weeks ago.

Not a mink it's the wrong color and to small and wrong shape for a marten-they look more like a mongoose. I would say weasel, possibly ermine i've never seen one but that looks exactly like the pictures I've seen of least weasels, in which case ermine might be another name for them. just like puma, cougar, mountain lion,ect.

Its either a short tailed or ling tailed weasel, other names are stoat and ermine (ermine usually describing the all white winter version of the weasel). According to Wikipedia the pope's robes are trimmed with ermine

That is a Least Weasel. All it takes to get into your coop is a 1-inch gap or opening of some kind then it's goodbye flock
