Here are my rules on threads asking for help:
1-Read it twice.
2-Try and empathize with the poster.
3-Ask myself "did they make any effort to find the answer or are they lazy. I also look at the amount of posts. A new member asking for help should ALWAYS be helped. A member with 300 posts asking a basic question with no legwork on their own gets ignored.
The search feature and the vastness of BYC history makes searching very difficult. Many times I will do a search and then post the link in response. It only takes me a second or two. I see a lot of people doing this too.
Finally, always click on "Unanswered posts" and see if anything important has fallen to the bottom.
Often I will respond with a simple suggestion hoping some of the real pros here will see the thread and respond.
For some strange reason a lot of people, besides moderators, follow me into threads.
Oh, Buff & Joe, you are both extremely sexy people. I'd read your posts anytime.
