I have a new one, one I made here recently. It is very easy and one-dish-ish

Ingredients: 1 jar of Ragu Roasted garlic parmesan sauce, 1 can cubed chicken breast, 1 box bowtie pasta, 1 can diced (or sliced and dice them yourself) carrots.

Cook pasta as directed; drain. Add sauce (I use a little over half the jar, but you can use more or less depending on taste), chicken, and carrots and enjoy! Can't get much easier than that!

This sauce is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! It could be used on just about anything I'd think

Our local walmart had it on sale for $1.50 a jar, I stocked up...probably get sick of using it before I run out

I was just rereading the posts and saw one that I apparently tried and forgot about! I have some smoked sausage in the fridge, so I guess I'll be making it again soon

We dont buy much processed meat but my DH loves this.

1 package of chedder braughtwurst cut into coins.
2 bell peppers cut into quarters and then in half again.
4-5 red potatoes chunked
1 large Vidalia onion chunked
1-2 small yellow or zucchini sliced in coins
1 glass of water
let cook together with lid on untill water cooks off and the juice carmelizes on the veggis.

Ok I have a BUNCH of recipes but I will only post a few. My grandmother was a single mom and raised 3 daughters with no help or money from anyone. So she needed meals that were cheap and easy because she had to work full-time. So here are a few of my favorites, I make them whenever I'm not feeling good and don't feel like cooking. I'm not sure what they are called.

#1

Brown 1-2 pounds of ground beef

Add two cans of Chicken Gumbo soup

Add mustard to taste (I make it without because my DH wont eat mustard and then add it to my individual serving)

Serve it over rice

#2

Take leftover chicken and tear it up (no bones)

Add diced celery

Add 2 cans of cream of celery soup

Add one can mushrooms

Add soy sauce to taste

Cook through and serve over rice

Those are my 2 favorite easy recipes I'm sure there are a lot more but I'm having a mental block right now.

Hot Dog Kolaches

Kolache Roll Dough

2 packages or 16 hot dogs

1 cup warm water
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/4-cup white sugar
1/4-cup soft spread tub margarine – melted
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg beaten
4 1/2 cups bread flour
3 teaspoons yeast

Remove hot dogs from packages and roll up in paper towels and let sit on counter to dry and reach room temp.

Place ingredients into bread machine in the order listed. Turn machine on dough cycle and mix well. Turn machine off and allow dough to sit for 1 hour.

Turn machine back on dough cycle.

When the dough cycle has finished, remove the dough; shape it into 16 rolls placing a hot dog in the middle of each roll and place in pan.

Rise for 30 minutes, bake at 375° for 12 minutes. Turn the pan for even browning and bake another 12 minutes.

Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.

Quick lasagne... It can be made up and frozen ahead and yes it says raw hamburger and raw noodles... The cottage cheese provides the juice for the noodles to cook.. cool huh?

1 32 oz cottage cheese
2 lbs of mozzarella
shredded parmasean
can of sausage flavored spagetti sauce (I like newmans or hunts 3 cheese) I can't remember if one jar/can is enough though so have another on hand...sorry
dried lasagne noodles
1 pound raw very lean hamburger

Opt sliced sausage (hot or ???) I like italian hot.. (lean is important here)

place a layer of raw noodles
spoon on 1/2 the spagetti sauce
drop chunks of raw meat
spoon on the parmesean and then the cottage cheese
mozzarella and repeat the layers

if you don't have parmesean on hand... don't let that stop you... you can also add spinach if you like for nutrition and color.

bake in 350 degree oven till done

Variation... This is a good one for freezing ready to go...just like it is.. Can be done in microwave in a rock n serve also

Poke one of these in the freezer for the emergency meal that you need to pull out for unexpected guests..

Serve with bread..hot or cold... garlic or not.. your choice.
