one of my poems. (i added another one, guys!)

i know! i have a small portion of a poem about HORSES on another forum and it was a little sad because it was about a horse i lost and people were actually upset about it and said they didnt want to hear it. i was focusing on the good times with that horse and wishing she was still here. nothing religious or weird or anything. something most people would write in a poem like that. i didnt get it

Some people on BYC when i pointed out that we need deer hunting to control deer populations so they don't start transmitting diseases or get ran over by cars.

Guess some people don't like the truth.

well what a lot of people dont realize about hunting is that when people kill deer with the biggest racks, those are the oldest. they must be healthy and resistent to disease to be old. and when you kill the healthy, older bucks with good genes that leaves the ones that dont live too long with bad genes to produce the next generation. just saying....

...And smear about it's blood and guts,
and in its pelt we'll leave massive ruts!

Stormhorse,
You do have a talent. Sometimes it is easiest to write about the things that are hurting us the most. Easier to write about it than to talk about it.
I don't know your age, but you remind me of my son he is 19, and when he writes songs they are mostly about what he is sad about.
You do have your whole life in front of you. Try to think of positive things, hang around happy and positive people, it helps.
Maybe even talk to someone you can trust about what you are going thru.
I have been struggling with being depressed, I lost my father more than a year and a half ago. He was 61.
He suffered so much, but he didn't want to die. He is truely my hero. When I get so down and don't think I can go on, I remember him, and how he wanted to live. I then feel bad for being so sad, cuz I have so much greatness around me, sometimes you just have to open your eyes and heart to see it.
My animals were a gift from him and God, all though he didn't get me the animals, he talked my into getting ducks, and the chickens followed. He knew I would need these animals to help me heal, and everyday when I spend time with them, I'm spending time with Dad!
It is hard to act happy for my family sometimes, but I try so they don't see me as a sad dark person.
I do have people I trust with my emotions and feelings and it helps so much to talk and get it off my chest.
I also try writing in a journal when I'm sad, so my sadness can stay on paper and not on me!
Keep writing, but also look for happy times, and write about them too no matter how small it seems, when you look back you will have something to smile about!
Brenda
PS sorry for any misspelled words, I don't have time to proof read!
