I like that you draw so deeply on your emotions to write your poems, on the other hand, it seems like those emotions are buried so deep because they have not always been treated kindly. My wish for you is that you will find some safe place that you trust for those emotions to come to the surface. Until then, get a diary and keep writing your eloquently penned struggles for love and trust.

Prisoner

He walks with his head down, now drenched in shame,
Dragging is feet, accepting the blame.
Heavy chains can be heard all around,
He cries out in pain, but no one hears a sound.
Are they blind to his suffering, or choose not to care?
Scars from his torture, strangers chose him to bear.
He is pushed to his knees, closes his tired eyes.
This is the way he pictured it, with no tearfilled goodbyes.
He turns to face his hooded condemner.
When he rises again, he is no longer a prisoner.


not too sure where this came from. just thinking about executionists (why, i ask myself?!!). i dont even know why. just thinking.

im glad that you are religious and willing to help others feel the same way as you, but my religion is not the same as yours. I have nothing against you for it, i think its wonderful that you are so young and happy about your religion and life. id also like to read more of your poems! another thing, i love how we can talk about such touchy subjects here and and nobody gets mad or angry because we respect each other so much! sorry, just had to share it!!

I know! I love how people on BYC rarely get into fights about religion or politics. On lots of other websites, you aren't able to talk about touchy stuff like that because it will cause a huge uproar and a fight. It's just another reason that BYC is the greatest website EVER!!!
