The grey ones are the ones we were told that are Blue Plymouth Rocks...is that true?
That's so interesting!!! Like many of our experiences since we got them in April. It's been a great journey with these chickens. Such joy.More-or-less true, yes.

A hybrid rather than a pure Plymouth Rock, but definitely a blue bird and a good layer. Quite a few hatcheries are selling them under lots of different names: Blue Plymouth Rock, Blue Sexlink, Blue Sapphire, Sapphire Gem, Production Blue, and so forth. Just to make things confusing, some of those same names get used for blue hens from crosses of other breeds, too![]()
