Smoke looked up at Mapiya, eyeing her suspiciously. He turned around and continued his patrol of the long valley border, going at a steady canter, his head held high and his ears erecxt, swiveling to catch every sound that flitted out of the forest.

As she watched smoke walk away wondering why he hadn't even nickered a greeting to her as she approached wishing she had friends to graze with she just stood there wishing she was normal but she wasn't she decided to walk along with smoke and talk to him about what had happened and to make sure that Macawi was ok and that the herd was in no danger at all
