I got the open toe foot, advertised to fit my machine, a high shank machine, and it does NOT fit, ACK! See? The little metal arm is too low, won't go over the needle holder screw.

Will it go in the notch next to the screw? Or try putting the bar over the screw first?
(I know you probably already did, but that's how I have to put mine on)
No, it won't fit over or under, either one and allow the screw to go into the slot, too. And since I was afraid to bend it, not knowing how strong the metal might be, possibly breaking it, I am sending it back. Too bad, it as a decent price, $11. The quilt shop in Blairsville sells Brother machines, the fancy ones, of course, but she didn't have a high shank one in the shop. I may go back and see if she can order me one for mine that I know will fit....or can just take back if it doesn't, no mailing back and forth required.

OK..... I did something wrong.......my measurements were off.

My backing is a couple inches to narrow!

Here is the top.

Is it crazy to split the back down the middle and add in my extras that match the front?
I know this will make centering a pita.
