Looks like I missed a lot of interesting breeds today, and now we're back to RIR

Oh well, my bators are full anyway, and I've got hens on over 100 eggs I'm sure. The ones I can check have 81...there are 2 others that I don't know the location of

I was gonna put up some Lavender Orp project eggs until I saw that Sarah only got $13. for her 6 eggs. That's a steal, for sure! I dunno, I guess I will just eat mine since my bators are on overflow and my broodies are hatching (thus no more broodies to add eggs to) ..... Darn!

Anybody have some guinea eggs that they would like to trade? My guineas are hiding their eggs and I have a lot of request for guinea keets. I have all kinds of pure breed poultry: chickens, turkeys, & ducks so just PM me I will tell you what I have to swap.

I agree that the Lavender eggs went for less than they have been, however I think we will continue to see that as more and more people get them. I saw the same thing happen with B/B/S Orpingtons. A few years ago "any" B/B/S were being snapped up and now only the nicest are still selling at the really high prices.

I have the Lavenders also and I am afraid it will take awhile to make back what I have into them. I love the color and I have them with my nicest Black Orpingtons right now to get them to a better Orpington standard.

Yep it seems the only lavenders selling well now are the 100% lavender. The split black lavenders you can't hardly give away, I didnt even realize so many people had them!

Thats what I was thinking.. lol Just think for the $13 you could make someones day with you could buy 13dozen white eggs from the store to eat.. hahaha

I was thinking the same thing. Not everyone can afford to pay high prices for eggs but that doesn't mean we wouldn't like to have some nice birds also.
