Check the links I posted. Day-old (less than 24 hours) poultry can be shipped priority with the chick shipping boxes. And the $35 to ship express is probably close, but they do go by weight.

If the chick is over 24 hours old it has to be at least 6 ounces in weight and has to be shipped express. Granted, it probably won't get there any sooner, but it will get different treatment.

Check the links I posted, those should answer most, if not all, of your questions. For shipping day-old poultry the day and time of hatch has to be printed on the box.

ETA: Regardless of how old the birds are, if they are not less than 24 hours old, they must be at least 6 ounces in weight (per bird) and shipped express.

Does anyone want some chicks to test my shipping. I hate using the word test. Here is the catch. You have to send me the box and pay for the shipping. I will send 6-8 chicks. it depends on what I have hatching. It could be Silkies, BCM, Blue Marans, Red/Black Sex Links, Wellie/Barnie Cross, EE. It will be a mix of them all. the chicks are free, just send me the box. The chicks will be 24 hours old or less when shipped. I do have some older ones as well so if I can swing it, I might send them as well in place of the younger ones. I am still looking into it.

I think they will be ok. The PO here ships out at 530pm every night. It goes straight to the airport to the destination and delivered the next day. So with some bedding, apple and some softgel I think they will be fine. Now that is with overnight. I still think 2-3 day they will be ok with the apple and gell for water.

The post office won't accept chicks if the temp is above 85 deg on either end of the shipment unless they are day old.

how is everything going has everyone got there egg that has been over two weeks or the buyer pm them with way they have not received them.
I would like to make a list of those that still owe egg that have owned for more then to week and have not pm why the have not been shipped.
