online Crazy Egg Chain Chat thread

I'm not doing very well with my egg chain eggs. My first batch (lavender split Ameraucanas) didn't hatch, even though 3 made it to lockdown. My second batch (GL Cochins & BLRWs) got knocked off the counter by DH while they were settling after shipping.

It was my first time and I didnt know it stunk that bad and yea, Kelly, my eggs didnt hatch either. I think it may have something due to the heat? Maybe? I found my box in my mailbox and it was HOT.

I do believe I'd find that other one and chunk it acroos the road
Usually thats from old or bad eggs The heat can kill them quick though

Ohhh, I got the turner out and was gonna stp turning them and went to grab it and it blew up all over my face and clothes. My lazyboy chair was covered in it too

As soon as it happened, i ran outside and

OMG! That story scares me....I have wondered about that happening but had almost convinced myself that I was being dramatic and making a big deal out of nothing....Now I am scared of the bad eggs exploding onto me!!!!

I think I may be done wth the chain!!!!!!! Every box of eggs I have receivd from the chain has had broken eggs! I have two more coming so I willsee what happens. Both time the eggs are wraped with a small piece of bubble wrap and put in a box. the eggs are not even secure in the box and were moving and hitting each other causing the damage or being shipped in a box to small with to many eggs in it!!!

WELL... I have a happy and positive story! The guinea eggs I got were packaged well, none broken, and 8/12 are developing. Got them from chickenlittle32.
