DH tells me if I knew how many I had of what , then it would make it easier to keep track of. I just politely tell him *I* do know......he doesn't.

We live on a river. Nothing survives if left out overnight. There were coyote tracks in the yard this morning and when I went kayaking today I saw a mink.

For the ones I owe eggs to, All eggs should be out this week!! We've been getting rain like crazy and the pens were MUDDY!! I hauled sand this weekend to fill the bottoms of them and I'm starting to get clean eggs again. I wouldn't want anyone to ship me dirty eggs, and I try to do the same.. Sorry for the wait!!

lamike ......... how are those silkie eggs doing? I had one hatch out from that pen this morning. It is a lot lighter than my last two were.

Here is a pic of the roo & 2 of his hens. The other 2 hid

I had to throw in scratch to get these two out from under my feet. One of the ladies has a smaller crest, but her sisters all have bigger ones. I hope she is like her mom & throws babies with larger crests than what she has.

Pic is washed out due to crappy camera. Those ladies are nice & black.
