They're so frustrating.

Only had a couple of cracked eggs this week. My carrier is a sweetheart and she makes sure she's very careful with my boxes, but it'd before she gets them that they are abused.

How is everyone doing on coop/run building? I just finished the run for my Coronation Sussex pair, they are loving it. I am also fixing the run for the Delawares. It had been set up for guineas, and I locked them up at night. But now I want the chickens to be able to go out in the run when they feel like it without worrying. I had just welded wire, but I am adding chicken wire on the inside to keep wild birds out, and discourage raccoons. I only have 3 hens, and I bought a new rooster, but he is younger and they henpecked him. So he is by himself right now. I hope to finish the run soon and let him adapt to it. Then maybe if I let the hens in "his" run they will be nicer to him.
I was letting most of the younger birds free range in the chicken pasture, but since the hawk killed 2 I have kept everyone penned up. I am thinking about adding more big flight cages. I so miss letting them run around. The silkies used to have the run of the barnyard but they are locked in the barn now. It stinks that they have to be inside. I am thinking about boxing in another stall to separate the white silkies. And I need to build nest boxes for the Americaunas and the Leghorns. What projects are you planning? Deb

Well I just found out the post office lost another parcel on me.:-( Last time they finally showed up, days later. But they won't even ship another box for you, even though they misplace the first one. It makes me sick.

There was a package of guinea eggs I was suppose to get that was due on may 9th and I still haven't gotten it. I checked the DC# and it says it was accepted and thats it. It has'nt been scanned anywhere else.

I just recieved a package that was double boxed and packed and still 3 out of 7 were broke. PO is getting careless.

I got a shpment just now that i'm afraid to open. It was mailed on May 6th. It's been lost all this time and it has guinea eggs in it but I don't want to open it. I dn't smell anything now but i'm sure they're not any good now after all this time. 17 days in the mail is just too long.
