I love it! Happy Homesteading!!! I went to Houston in June once - it was 98 degrees and just as much humidity at 5am by noon I was dying!!!!!

I left Wichita Falls in '66 in 100*+ weather, and was comfortable. Landed in DC to 85* & thought I'd die...humidity.

Well hello there neighbor! We are about 25 minutes from Frederick but obviously heading towards WV and VA. Did you get any of the snow earlier in the week? We didn't this week but the wind and icy cold though

We got a little...less than an inch, I'd say. Wind on Sunday was a beast; temps still in single digits last night.
I've had about all that kinda fun I can handle.

AGREED! We have had basically about the same weather it seems. I am over it and very much looking forward to the mid 40s tomorrow even though it will be raining again. Ugh

In 2 months, I can start daydreaming about spring. Right now, I’ll settle for temperatures above zero. Temps in the double digits are a bonus. The thermometer in my car read -25 degrees F this morning while I was on my way to work. In reality, it was closer to -15, but still.

I lived in Virginia as a young adult, and I do miss the early and exceedingly beautiful springs!

Nevertheless, the birds demanded a bath this afternoon as it was an almost tropical 10 degrees and they haven’t bathed in about a week.

Now, they have to groom/shake all of the ice off their bodies. Silly birds!

They are so pretty. Mine actually eating something this afternoon. They haven’t had much of an appetite last 3 days to busy just trying to survive
