I just moved to Topsail Island. I have checked everywhere online as suggested in other posts and cannot find any ordinance AGAINST BYC's, sooooooooooooo does the fact that the county is good with it give me the ok to proceed? I have never raised chickens, but a long time ago my boyfriend had a coop in our back yard and the eggs were amazing!
Any advice short of driving to the town hall and asking (who would I ask anyway)???

I would check with the local court house and see if there is any restrictions on it, if they don't have any than you are good to go just make sure that you read the county regulations on it and you should be just fine. Once I get back from deployment I am getting chickens in Maysville.

Hi! I have three chickens and will be moving to the area, did you ever find out if you could have them on topsail?

Also have you heard anything about the home in those new communities, if they are allowed to have them?

Thanks!
