Have had ducks since they were 3 days old. Now they are almost 2 1/2 months old. they are huge now. I baby them and they eat from my hand and peck at my short pants to let me know they want more food. Really cute. BUT..... the problem is that all but 1 maybe 2 are males..... I think.
now I have 6 females that are about 3-4 weeks old and growing big. Now the thing is , I am raising them for eggs but looks like I will be having duck soup soon if it turns out that I have too many males. The females are kept seperate from the big ducks until they are big enough to defend themselves.
They are free range ducks and once the females are big enough will join the males. Will be building a duck pen soon as the rainy season here in the Philippines is soon to start and I want make sure they have some protection from the weather.
Now, several questions.... should I build the pen with a divider to seperate the males from the females? How many males to females ratio should I have? thanks

I wouldn't suggest more than 2 drakes for 6 ducks. If they are aggressive breeders then I would honestly only keep 1 drake.
