Update on the babies... looking like I’m going to be able to leave them together! The brahmas are 2 weeks old which is why I was worried. Everyone is getting along fine, and the babies are active! I added a second heat plate since there are so many lol, 18 total! How does my setup look? They’re soo cute! They are already scratching and dust bathing!

Your setup looks great! We have that yellow heat plate, too. How do you like it? We've only used it once, but it worked great. Your chicks are really cute

Thanks! To be honest, they use the black one more. I’m not really sure why, but I love both of them, they both work great!

I went to the feed store, for feed, 1 hr away last Sun. If I had waited until last Wed. I could have got more chicks. I did not. It was the only way of controling myself. I do have eggs hatching soon, so maybe...

Since I already have 18 I am trying to steer clear but I always find myself wanting to go look “just in case”

Easter eggers can lay pretty much any color, but my four lay light blue and green! If you want to go the pure route, there are CCL, Ameraucana, Araucana, Olive eggers are also a really cool mix. I don't have any hens yet myself, so I am trying them out with my 3 new chicks!

I have a list of all the new chickens that I want and it just keeps getting longer!
