Oozing nastiness coming from chickens rear side

Should be interesting to see what results the three of us get... I just gave my hen a bunch of Nystatin orally via "the tube", squeezed some 2% miconazole into her vent and coated the outside area with both the cream and powder.

Weight - 2.5kg, crop was a little squishy, but she might have had something to drink earlier. No mites/lice seen, but will dust later today and I'll probably worm her, too. Took lots of pictures, will post later.

Here's an updated picture of the Dark Cornish girl today. Haven't been able to keep up with her or this due to family needs. I have today increased the ACV to 2 tbls. per quart of water and she is getting a probiotic capsule opened over 2 1/2 cups of food. The nystatin cream mixed with the KY is still being aplied after her baths.

Also wanted to bring this thread into the picture. This is why I have upped the ACV in the water and given the probiotic. I have not tried the epsom salts yet.

Have you thought about getting one of those monistat at home yeast infection test kits? that way you could know if it is fungal or bacterial...fungal needing a cream and homeopathic remedies, bacterial needing antibiotics..

Really? Lol, I honestly had no clue they had those. Wow! Thanks, I'll grab one next time I go out if I can find one.

You are absolutely right! Good if they have them at Wally maybe they will at this one here. I'll check, that would be a really great tool to have in my pharmacopeia. I've been trying to research any and all drugs and 'home remedies' for gleet and have found out some really interesting stuff but no absolute cure. Which as females we already knew, lol. I would say, even if I found one tonight, I will have to let some time go by before I could use it on this girl as she is already being dosed with the nystatin. Could mess up the test.
