Wonder if the vinegar and nystatin cream would work? As that is the cheapest and I have some of the cream on hand.

I'd try just the cream if that was all that I had.Wonder if the vinegar and nystatin cream would work? As that is the cheapest and I have some of the cream on hand.
Flock Lover, excuse me while I hijack your thread for a minute. After reading all of this, I started thinking about something I've got going on here with a couple of my girls. I'll take some pictures today and try to post them. I never made the connection until I read the stuff Casportpony put up. The hen's mouths do not seem to be involved but I may not be looking at it correctly. The rear ends, yeah, oh most definitely. One poor girl I had to put into the tub just to soften up the stuff so we could get it out/off of her. I really thought it was a problem with eggs. The stuff was quite firm and a bit like cottage cheese. Not a real good description but about all I have right now. I'll do the pictures.
That's sounds exactly like what my hen has.
Another question here.....if this is a yeast infection, it can be spread quite easily I am assuming. The same as in humans....see where I'm going with this? I have 3 roos in with 20 girls. Most of the girls are not showing symptoms at all but this would be just a matter of time wouldn't it? Oh joy! What a pleasant thought for first thing in the morning, lol!
My hen roosts with many others and so far, I think she's the only one, but there *might* be one other, so I don't think it's a real problem, but I can't really say for sure.
