Open front coop done, chicken yard in progress

Pics
:yesss:The chicks are out from under the heat plate, eating and drinking and exploring the coop. The bigs were somewhat curious but not hanging out nearby now.

Few snaps of the chicks today. They like the ice in the saucer and they're getting Sav A Chick in addition to water.

The bigs are used to the pvc feeder in the coop so we've made a couple more for the yard. They keep the pigeons out of the feed perfectly. We're going to make a smaller version for the mini coop so the littles know they mean food.

3 weeks and a couple days. Fugs came in to check out the littles during their first time out of the coop. He wasn't particularly impressed but left them alone. Pretty sure I've spotted 4 little boys in there at least.

Updates to the feeders. My neighbors reported roof rat problems last year. They're here now so we added the caps to keep them from feeding at night.

The hwc around the edges creayes a slot for the chickens necks but the gap is small enough that pigeons, ie flying rats, can't get into the feeders easily. The new feeders have helped food consumption considerably.

Thanks for sharing some new chick pix IM...they sure have grown!
