Opinions of cold climate chicken keepers needed

Pics
Hey all, my cousin just shared a post on my FB page from a chicken group in Wisconsin. Seems there’s been a run on tents at the Walmart’s up there as people are using them to house chickens in the garage. Pop up the tent, fill the bottom with a thick layer of shavings, add some food and water and voila, instant indoor coop!

West Central Wisconsin - we had -26 actual temp, -50 wind chill. The girls were locked in for the night with two reptile bulb heaters facing their roost. Big serving of corn/mealworm mixture again before bed last night. Coop temp was -18 this morning. The sun is out now, 4 of the 6 are huddled together in the run. The run is wrapped in 6mil plastic, sand bottom with solid layer of straw for them to keep feet warm and huddle. The sun is out which will warm both the run and coop a bit but as of now, it's still -14 in the coop.

We are supposed to have a high of -15 actual temp today with even colder overnight temps and wind chill. I think we've covered what we can but open to any other ideas. I'm with others on here - I want them more comfortable, not just in survival mode. Ugh! It's very interesting to read and hear what others are doing through this hellish cold weather. Wishing all those birdies happier, warmer days ahead!
