I'm endeavoring to hatch my very first eggs in my diy styro-bator, so far all of the first batch quit so I'd really like to make this one work.

I purchased some silkie eggs from ebay, and all but one made it unscathed. One is cracked and slightly dented. I've read some opinions saying not to risk setting it, and others saying that they can hatch, and that wax or glue on the crack can help. There are several hairline cracks and a slight dent, no leakage. Would you risk putting it in your incubator?

We set shipped eggs two weeks ago. Two of the eggs had damage worse than
I see with your egg. We tried the candle wax fix. One of them is still developing,
one quit. We will candle again tonight. Hopefully everything is still good, if not, it
will be removed.

After doing the candle wax fix we saw a post where someone suggested liquid
bandaid. That sounded like a great idea.

UPDATE: We candled and the cracked egg is still developing. 2/3 of the way there!
